Today I’ve been working on Amu’s legwarmers~~!! I finished one of them, and the pattern for the other one is waiting to be sewn~~! <3 I really like how the first one came out~~! It’s going to be so much fun to wear for raves~ > w< I also tested out my hair accessory that I made for Amu, and it works aweshumly~~!! :’D Grandmaa bought me a red tie from..somewhere, so yaaay~!! I’m pretty much finished with Amu~! ^^ just need to learn how I’ll style my Anya wig for her~

AS for Tao, I have done hardly anything for her recently~ ;w; I’ve only been handsewing the designs back onto the sleeves, and even though they look 10X better, it’s still not much work….~ D: NO-NO, I definately am going to finish her..at some point..BEFORE February~ I’ve just been soooo lazy~ D: I kinda screwed up her dress, my sister lost one of the buttons (which is okay cos I might get bigger ones~), and I’m kinda scared of the hood~ o.o I want it to look as accurate as hers, if that’s possible~ . ,. And it sucks because I have ALL this no-mommy-around-to-annoy-me time and I’m just lazy~ D::: I might work on it tonight though~!

Aaaaand in other news, Pleinair~!! I found some really nice fabric in the hallway closet that I just might use for her~ I have no idea what it’s called..but yeah~ Pleinair’s outfit ish sooo cuuute~!! I might make her before the break’s over~

AAAAAND more other news, I am currently torrenting Guilty Gear because my friend told me it’s good and it’ll get me ready for Blazblue~~! Sho yeah~ ;D

We’ll start wif Tao~!
So after re-stuffing the sleeves, I decided that I didnt like the claw opening thingies~ I didnt like how they were made and how uneven they were from each other~ So I changed the black material and sewed them onto the yellow felt with the sewing machine~ And now they look so nice and I’ll handsew them back onto the paws today~ Also, I finished the tail~~! I used a really good hanger wire and some fluffy stuff from a santa hat~ xD It came out pretty nice~~!! I have some leftover fabric, so I might make it longer~~
Still no further progress on the dress~ d; But I have a whole week off nyow~!!

As for Amu, I’m about 60% done~~! Mommy found a coat that looks a lot like hers~ I also sewed the skirt~~!<3 It’s my first time sewing to elastic, so….ugh~ >< It’s not TERRIBLE, just not as ruffley as I thought it’d be…~ But I’ll make a do-over if I feel like it~! :] I also made her hair ornament thingy~! Unfortunately, I dont have enough fabric for the legwarmers, so I’ll start on the pouch~ Then I’ll need a red tie and I’ll be finished~~!<33

If I told you that “I’VE BEEN WORKING SOOOOO HARD ON MY TAO AND NYOW SHE’S ALMOST DONE~!!<333″, I’d be lying~ D:
Yeah, I’ve been soooo lazy…mainly because I’ve made 5 dresses and NONE of them fit~ Yeah, I am thin..but I do have um..issues that wont go down..if ya know what I mean~ x’D So yeah…but I have my sewing machine nyow, so I will add some pieces to the dress I have now~ And I’ll try to make it less noobish than it is with my super aweshum skillz~ Cx *lies*~
So anyway, that cluster stuff worked swell…and it’s easy to dig through~ (yush, I plan on putting stuff in there…~ xD) I learned how to work my sewing machine like a pro..sorta, so I’m happy~~! I also (out of misery) cut off parts to my old Ion costume…which I REALLY regret now…~ D; Yeah, dumb move~~ Oh well~
So yeah, I got zippers for the legwarmers if the elastic doesnt work out~ Hopefully they do, cos then I’ll use the zipperz for my Tao sleeves~~! <3
So-so yyeeeeeah~ I might work on Amu as a side-project instead of waiting till later~ The skirt looks sooo easy to make~ > w<

In other news, I’m going to BEG-LIKE-A-HOBO my mom to let me go all the way to L.A. (lol, rhymey~!) for Anime Expo this summer~~!! I’m kinda pisshed that Daisuke-san was there last time~ >’: But OH WELL~!! *gets over it*~ xD

So today, I found out that I still have nearly $30 on my debit card~! :’3 So I’m going to be buying the materials for Tao {and possibly Amu} cosplay tomorrow~~!!! I already planned out, I’ll need 5-6 yards of some tan or white…I’ll need 6 buttons, a zipper, velcro, and more thread~ Also, I’ll be pricing out sewing machines, because I want to make things easier~ xD

In other news, I started on a paw for Tao~ :3 It’s a little crappy because the material I used (crushed panne~?) was really hard to cut precisely and sew to gold felt~ And yush, I’m just going to use the gold felt for now, because I dont think I’ll have enough for something better tomorrow~ ; D;

I also think I might buy a yard or two of plaid felt for Amu’s skirt and legwarmers~ Then I’ll go back later for materials for her pouch~ > w<

So tomorrow after Anime Club~!!:

• Go to Joann’s and buy cosplay materials~
• Make the paws for Tao~
• Make cat ears (not the hoodie ones)~
• Make Amu’s X  hair tie~

And yeah~~! That should take care of my money for tomorrow~!! x-x I get a $20 allowance next week and report card money~! So I’ll be able to buy the Tao wig and whatever other materials I may need afterwards~ Also after Tao and Amu (which is pretty simple)~, I need to make a Cheshire costume~ My sis and I are cosplaying Oz and Cheshire from Pandora Hearts for MegaCon~~! > w< So my schedule’s pretty set there…Day 1- Taokaka; Day 2- Cheshire AND Taokaka; Day 3- Amu~ I’m pretty sure we wont be spending much time at the con on Day 3, since my parents have to check out of the hotel early and will have NOTHiNG to do there, just like MegaCon~ >;

But yeah~~!! I’m soooo hyped~ :’]

Oh yeah, if I get Amu done tomorrow or early Saturday, I’ma wear her for Halloween~~!! :’B

I’m soooo uber excited~ > w< (And nooo you may not have my measurements~ ;D)
So liek, I’ve awready made the pattern for Tao’s paws, and I’m going to follow the pattern for my sister’s Anise cosplay for the dress~ Then I’ll somehow make the hood by following the pattern to one of my jackets~ I think what I’m going to do is make my paws detachable with something simple liek a zipper…~ So then when I want to eat something or play the videogames or push buttons, I wont have to worry about my paws messing things up~ D: Now I just have to worry about the leg warmer patterns~ I wanted to hold them up on my legs with a zipper, but I awready have some elastic that I was supposta use for plenair (which I am now putting on hold till motivation kicks in~)~

But yeah, Amu is a must-do~ Her outfit’s simple and making her bag and eggs should be fun~~!!

I hope to have both of these characters finished before MegaCon, which is a ways off [over 100 days~!]~ But I’m a professional PROKRASTINATAH, sooooo…wah~ D: I probably might end up wearing Anya for a while there too, since there might be a CLAMP/Code Geass cosplay group there~~ :}

I’m also sooo gonna wear this to ShukuyaCon, which was like, April 2 years ago~? lol, didnt go last year cos I forgot it existed~~ But I’ma wear it there, so I can cross the ancient highway briiiiiidge in it~~!! *w* It’ll be sooo epic~

About my Plenair cosplay~ I’m trying to debate on whether to use the red pieces of my old halloween kimono (it’s fake~) for her outfit or save it to make Reimu’s~ I know if I use it for one, I’ll have to buy some more for the other~ D; I guess since it’s winter-ish, I should make Reimu’s first~? So, liek, today (well technically yesterday) was a pretty good day~ :’3
I’ll start with the LOL part of the day~

So around 5PM, my mom took me, my sister (who I shall call Rinny~!), and her friend Lakayla (La-chan~) as well as my stepbrother Zackery to this convention 10 minutes away from our house~ :’D This is the first time I’ve heard of a convention that close, and even though it’s not a true anime convention, there would be cosplayers and some anime panels~! So we took advantage and went~

Well, after we registered and got our badges, we went into the Dealers’ Room to see if they had anime things on sell~ They did, actually~! Because Anime Fix was there with their super aweshum-not-so-pricey things~~! I didnt see any plushies though~ D:
And we actually thought that we’d be the only anime cosplayers there~ Thankfully, we werent, but I’m sure we were the most popular~!! xDD LOTS of people wanted to take me, Rinny, and La-Chan’s pics~ oh, by the way, I went as Anya from Code Geass, Rinny went as Anise from Tales of the Abyss, and La-Chan went as Rin from Vocaloid~ And Zackery went as Neji from Naruto, but no one really noticed he was even cosplaying~ Cx He would be standing near us, and people with cameras would come over and be like “Can I take a picture of the three of you?”~ xDD And poor Zackery would just back away~ It was funnnnneh~~!
OMG THE MOST FUNNIEST PART; well we looked on the map of the con, and we saw four gaming rooms~!! The first thing Zackery thought; “THEY MIGHT HAVE BRAWL!!!”, so we looked around for these gaming rooms~ We get into the hallway, and there are four doors…and each of them ARE gaming rooms…but not actually VIDEOgame rooms~ xD
They were card games and board games~! I looked up where the LAN room was, because apparently that would have some gaming consoles, but this random man told me it was closed till tomorrow~ D: I was somewhat disappointed, but it was funny because the people were soooooo into their game~! “OMG, I rolled a demon to kill your swordmaster~!!!” o wo?~

Well anyway, we ditched the convention and walked halfway around it~ I’m pretty sure there would have been a car crash if we stayed out any longer cos liek EVERYONE was looking at us like we were freaks~~! xD Oh well~~! Tis near Halloween anyway~~!!!

We looked at tomorrow’s schedule; apparently they’re having a MetroCon panel~! As well as other anime panels, like how to draw Chibi eyes and Dance AMV viewings~! I hope more anime-ers go~!<3

My mom is buying me a $50 sewing machine~! It’s adorable, and it’s inexpensive enough that she’ll ALSO buy ALL the material to make my Taokaka cosplay~~!!! > w< I am SO ecstatic~~!! She said materials will be before mid-November and sewing machine will be an early Christmas present~ :’3

But anyway, I forgot to mention that, for the first time ever, I will be making my own cosplay~~! I believe that’s the best I can do my mom&dat, for I’m pretty sure that, between me and my sister, they’ve spent well over $2000 on cosplay~ I wont dare wear my Yuna (FF) and Ion (ToA) to a convention~ My Haruhi uniform is too big and I’m too lazy to re-size it~ I’d wear Miku, but I dont have a wig for her yeeet~ * ~* So all I really have left is Anya~

So, here’s my cosplay list, and a few reasons why I feel OBLIGED to make them:

Well first of all, SHE’S SOO CUTE~~!<3 The costume looks really fun to wear, and her personality is really spontaneous~!! And I’ll be under a mask anyway, so acting in character will be soooo much easier for me~~! ^^
- Plenair from Disgaea/Nippon Ichi games~
She’s really adorable~ :3 And I wuv her plushies~~!

- Cheshire from Pandora Hearts~ (inoerite~? crossssplay~~!<3)
I think his outfit’s pretty epic~! ;o

- Mina Tsukishiro from Getsumen to Heiki Mina~
I’m in LOOOOVE with the giant carrots on the back of her shorts~!! Her costume looks amazingly fun to make and wear~~! And I wont have to worry about getting all hot since it’s pretty…..fleshy~ xD

- Presea Combatir from Tales of Symphonia~
Well, obviously, she’s SO ADORABLE~~!!! And the pink hair~~?? <333333 I think I might make the Dream Traveler variant instead of her original costume though, because I’ve rarrely seen people do it~ ;D But I definately want to make the DX Hammer with it~~! Hahar, and make a squeak~? :’D ((Doubt I can do that, but eeeh~ x3

- Kaede Nagase from Negima!~
I’ve been wanting to make her costume for a long time~ :’3 The outfit looks easy, but I’m just soooo lazy~~! > w< I REALLLY REALLY want to make her giant fuma shuriken~~!! I know they have similar ones around, but they’re not large enough, and they’re from Naruto, which is BAAAAAAD~~ x{

- Reimu Hakurei from Touhou games~
I’ve always wanted to cosplay a miko~!! And I think she’s the cutest one~ :3 I seeee soo many differences in her outfit everytime I see a picture though~ D:

Shooo yeah~~! :3 This isnt quite the order that I’ll be working on them in~
Because I have the materials for Plenair already at my disposal (lololol~~! reminds me of a scientist~ xD), I will handsew it~ I still need LOTS of material for Taokaka; I actually want to do her costume first~ >; Oh well, I dont plan on wearing her until the spring (MegaCon ’10) next year~ :} –BTW, the first day of that convention is my birthday, so it’d be ah~mazing if you could wish me a happy birthday there~~! <3
But yeah, after I make Taokaka, depending on how much time I have, I might start making Cheshire or Reimu so I could wear either of them for a few hours on one of the days of MegaCon~ ((As you can tell I seriously want to dedicate Mega to Taokaka~<3)) Then whichever I make for Mega, I’ll use it for ToshoCon, which is usually in late-March, ORRR I’ll try making Mina cosplay~~! Or I probably should do Presea…~? I dunno, who caaaares right now~~!! xD I have until whenever MetroCon is to get them all done, so no need for rushy-rushy~! :’3

So, anyway, I will be using this blog mainly to discuss my cosplay and convention adventures, but I shall also use it for other things AWESHUM that happen in my life~ :’3

I guess to avoid double posting, I’ll start off by saying: IT’S THE MORNING OF NECRONOMICON ’09~ It’s a sci-fi/fantasy convention, but I’ve heard there’s going to be an addition to the anime theme than last year~ So I’m going~ We already preordered the tickets at $30 before they went up $20 more~ xP And I’ll be cosplaying as Anya Alstriem from Code Geass~ It’s a 3 day con, but I plan on just going as her the whole time~~! ^^ And luckily it’s only 5 minutes away from my house~ @ w@
Yesh I will be sure to get pictures and such~
I seriously was trying to convince myself to make a Plenair costume since I have all the materials, but I was toooooo lazyyyyy~~!! ><

Errr, but yeah~~! So thas it I guess~
